Yesterday’s threat by a member of the dissident republican group will raise fears terrorists could target the Queen and Prince Philip during their tour.
The masked man said the Queen was ‘wanted for war crimes’ and said they would ensure she got ‘the message’. He also vowed police officers would be killed.
A £6.2million security operation is already under way to ensure the sovereign’s safety when she makes the historic three-day visit on May 17.
It is three weeks since Catholic police officer Ronan Kerr was murdered after a car bomb was planted outside his home in Omagh, Northern Ireland.
Speaking at a rally in a Londonderry cemetery yesterday, the man read a statement which said: ‘Oglaigh na hEireann [the IRA] urge all self-respecting Irishmen and women to resist the upcoming insult that is the visit of a British monarch to Irish soil, the criminal free state government invite is not on behalf of the Irish people but to further the selfish interests of a self-serving elite.
‘Despite the best efforts of the media, big business and other power blocks to portray this visit as acceptable, we clearly state that the Irish people will not capitulate.
‘The Queen of England is wanted for war crimes in Ireland and not wanted on Irish soil.’
Chillingly, he added: ‘We will do our best to ensure she and the gombeen class that act as her cheerleaders get that message.’
The masked man added that police officers would be targeted ‘regardless of their religion, cultural background or motivation’.
While it falls short of a direct threat against the crown, MI5 officers will no doubt take the comments very seriously ahead of the monarch’s visit.
The rally was organised by the 32 County Sovereignty Movement to mark the anniversary of the 1916 Easter Rising.

The speech came after Sinn Fein’s Martin McGuinness said the party objected to the Queen’s visit but he did not support any rallies against it.
He encouraged those who felt compelled to protest to do so peacefully.
The Queen is due to visit a number of sensitive sites that could be used by extremists to stir up anger.
Accompanied by Prince Philip, she will go to Dublin’s Garden of Remembrance dedicated to ‘those who gave their lives in the cause of Irish freedom’.
An event will also be held at Croke Park, home of the Gaelic Athletic Association and scene of a massacre in 1920 when British troops opened fire on a crowd, killing 14 people.
Last night Mark Durkan, Foyle MP and former Social Democratic and labour Party leader, said: ‘The Real IRA’s words are intended to intimidate everyone but their pretensions to legitimacy will impress no one.
‘Politicians do not really have to argue that this group is morally and politically bankrupt when they are driven to attack and threaten nationalists who want to serve the community and their country through a policing vocation. Their statement speaks for itself.’
Northern Ireland is already on a high state of alert.
On Saturday night, a haul of suspected bomb-making equipment was found by the Police Service of Northern Ireland in south Armagh.
The Real IRA killed two soldiers in Antrim two years ago, and last year exploded a car bomb in Derry.
Spokesmen for Buckingham Palace and the Metropolitan Police said they could not comment on security issues.

Britain's mosques became an international haven for extremists who enjoyed state benefits while being trained for terrorism, leaked documents show.
The WikiLeaks files, written by U.S. military chiefs, reveal that at least 35 Guantanamo terrorists were radicalised in London mosques before being sent to fight against the West.
This is believed to be more than any other Western country.

U.S. intelligence officers describe Finsbury Park mosque, in North London, as a ‘haven for Islamic extremists from Morocco and Algeria’ and ‘an attack planning and propaganda production base’.
After their UK trip they were then flown to Pakistan and Afghanistan where they were taught to fight and make bombs. The leaked documents also show that an Al Qaeda ‘assassin’ accused of bombing two churches and a luxury hotel in Pakistan was at the same time working for MI6.
Adil Hadi al Jazairi Bin Hamlili was captured in 2003 and sent to Guantanamo Bay where interrogators were convinced that he was an informer for British intelligence.
U.S. intelligence reports describe the 35-year-old Algerian citizen as a ‘facilitator, courier, kidnapper, and assassin for Al Qaeda’. CIA interrogators found him ‘to have withheld important information from …British Secret Intelligence Service … and to be a threat to U.S. and allied personnel in Afghanistan and Pakistan’.
He has been returned to Algeria but it is not clear whether he will stand trial there.

Detainees admitted that Mohammed, currently facing trial over the 9/11 terrorist attacks, was involved in a plot to attack U.S. atomic plants and unleash a ‘nuclear hellstorm’.
According to the files, a Libyan detainee and close friend of Bin Laden, Abu Al-Libi, ‘has knowledge of Al Qaeda possibly possessing a nuclear bomb’.
Another told his interrogators the bombers would be ‘Europeans of Arab or Asian descent’.

The documents point to the crucial role played by London-based preachers such as Abu Qatada and Abu Hamza in the suspected indoctrination of extremists, before they were dispatched around the world to plot terror attacks. They describe Qatada as ‘the most successful recruiter in Europe’ and ‘a focal point for extremist fundraising [and] recruitment’.
Despite this, the London cleric and Al Qaeda’s chief European agent was paid £2,500 for being ‘unlawfully detained’ by the British Government, after being held indefinitely without trial following 9/11.
A ruling found that keeping him in Belmarsh prison, while he refused to return to his native Jordan, breached his human right to a fair trial. The Government is trying to deport him to Jordan, where he has been sentenced to jail in his absence on terror charges.
Meanwhile, Hamza is named as encouraging ‘his followers to murder non-Muslims’, in the documents, and yet continues to fight deportation to the U.S. because of Europe’s liberal human rights laws.

Three other mosques and an Islamic centre are also highlighted by senior commanders as places where young Muslim men were turned into potential terrorists.
Many obtained EU passports from other European countries such as France, but then travelled on to Britain to take advantage of the generous asylum system. The leaks help explain why U.S. intelligence services regard extremists in Britain as the greatest threat to American security.
The CIA is still so concerned about militant recruitment in the UK that it operates its own intelligence network and recruits its own agents among the Muslim population in Britain.
In a statement, the Pentagon said: ‘The previous and current administrations have made every effort to act with the utmost care and diligence in transferring detainees from Guantanamo.’

DAVID Cameron wants Muslim clerics to sit beside bishops in the House of Lords.
Proposals for a spiritual shake-up of the chamber have come from the Conservative Christian Fellowship who say Britain would benefit from a “multi-faith” set-up on the benches.
David Cameron is said to have thrown his weight behind the plan, which also involves slashing the number of peers from 792 to 500.
A Tory insider said: “Imams in the Lords may provoke outrage in some. But Britain is not just a Christian nation, so it is only logical.
“There are already Catholic, Muslim and Jewish peers in the Lords. This is just an extension of that.”
The plans have created another rift in the Coalition government.
Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg is drawing up a bill expected to contain proposals to boot out hundreds of House of Lords peers – including Anglican bishops.
The last reforms to the Lords were in 1999.

Girl Raped and Beaten to Death-Sweden
A 23-year-old man was charged for the rape and murder of a 27-year-old woman he allegedly attacked after the two stepped off a Gothenburg tram one evening in September.
Elin Krantz and her alleged killer were riding the same tram to the Hisingen neighbourhood near Gothenburg in western Sweden.
Shortly thereafter Krantz was raped and murdered in a wooded area not far from the tram stop, according to information from the investigation.
Krantz and a friend were heading home on the number 5 tram line from the Valand nightclub in downtown Gothenburg around 4am after a Saturday night out together, according to an account by the Aftonbladet newspaper at the time of the killing.
While Krantz’s friend got off the tram at the Hjalmar Brantingsplatsen stop, the 27-year-old continued in the direction of Gropegårdsgatan. But she never came home.
A 23-year-old man was arrested shortly after the killing. On Friday he was charged with murder and aggravated rape.
According to prosecutors, the 23-year-old suspect hit and/or kicked Krantz with such force that she was left with contusions and haemorrhaging on her head, neck, arms, and legs.
The violence was so severe that it also caused nerve damage in Krantz's brain, resulting in a lack of oxygen.
The 23-year-old is suspected of having raped Krantz by holding her down and forcing her legs apart. He then allegedly dragged her body over uneven ground and then placed it on a large stone block, according to prosecutors.
Included in prosecutors' long list of injuries to Krantz are "burst membranes around the vaginal opening".
According to the prosecutors, the 23-year-old showed "extreme ruthlessness".
The man, who has been in custody for more than five months, denies committing the crimes.
At the start of his time in remand, he remained silent during questioning from investigators. After several months, he finally admitted that he was at the scene of the killing, but pointed to two other men.
He also admitted riding the same tram as Krantz, but it was only when they got off at the same stop that the two exchanged any words.
"They got off at the same time, he walked behind her. After a few hundred metres they parted ways," the man's attorney, Claes Östlund, told the TT news agency.
"He saw how she mets two other men, but he continued walking and sat down on a bench. As he sat there, he heard a woman scream. A short while later he got up and walked in the direction of the scream and came to the place where the woman met the two men. He saw then that the men were having sex with her.
"He then ran toward them and scared the guys away. He lifted up the woman. But she had fainted and is unresponsive. After a few minutes, the guys show up again and chase him away."

"This is a case of theatrical bigotry," Chalk declared at the Monday sentencing. "It was pre-planned by you as you stole the book deliberately. You went out to cause maximum publicity and to cause distress."
Ryan - who had six prior convictions, including one for joining soccer hooligans in a racist chant - had earlier pleaded guilty to religiously aggravated harassment and theft.
Authorities said he swiped the Muslim holy book from the Carlisle library and set it afire before a lunchtime crowd on Jan. 19.
The jail term for Ryan stood in contrast with the handling of Florida pastor Terry Jones' Koran burning in the U.S., where he was protected by free speech.
Jones, who burned one of the books last month, is leading another protest against radical Islamic views this week in Michigan.
Less than a dozen supporters turned out at Ryan's hearing. As the defendant was handcuffed and led out of court, he began shouting, "What about my country? What about burning poppies?"
Ryan was referring to Emdadur Choudhury, a Muslim extremist who was fined last month after igniting a poppy on Armistice Day - a day of honor for those killed in battle.

On April 15th the National Socialist Movement held our 2011 National Meeting. With approximately 80 Party members in attendance, along with a few respected guests we started our dinner in a Church Hall. We had a couple men posted outside to watch over the parking lot and building. It is well known that the ara, anarchists, and communist black block groups will attack cars and buildings, as well as women and children. Just before the meeting was to begin, an armed group of about 30 or more masked anarchists launched an attack upon the Church Hall, our Comrades, and one of the cars before we beat them back in (legal) self defense. The commie scum attacked us with 2 by 4 boards, mace, clubs, knives, bricks, tree branches, glass bottles, and other weapons. The NSM was un-armed with the exception of a few chairs and boards taken away from the scum in the brawl. True to form, the NSM did not back down and met the armed & masked degenerates in the street! By the time the melee was done, we forced the commie scum to run away, and local people coming out of their homes had called the Police after seeing all the blood and fighting. A number of people were seriously injured on both sides, four of our men went to the hospital after being hit in the head or face with clubs or boards, each one of those men checked out of the hospital and returned to finish the events. It was an honor to fight alongside of these men, and everyone else who fought on our side. Myself, I was maced directly in my eyes (along with a couple of our guys whom also were maced) by the anarchists in the fight, but I still managed to beat down the guy who did it! Note to self (fist fighting in a business suit is not ideal). The men who had the worst injuries are the real heroes, they set aside self concern and went directly into the fray alongside of us. We have video of some of the violence and will release that shortly. After the Police arrived, they managed to round up a couple of the anarchists and are holding two of them on $50,000. bail for inciting a riot, and other charges. It was clear to all that the NSM acted legally in self defense and did not start the violence. Our motto for such altercations is "Start nothing, Finish everything"! Thank you to all who stood in solidarity with us, including the older guys who I specifically asked NOT to come outside, and let us handle this. You guys have some serious heart!
After the Battle with the anarchists, we went back into the Church Hall and finished the National Meeting as scheduled and planned. Excellent speeches were given and it was a great event, as planned.
On April 16th we formed up as planned and headed to the Rally at the State Capitol. The enemies of free speech, and an assortment of groups such as the jdo, black panthers, ara, black block, and other anti-white groups vowed they would stop us from our meeting and the rally. They were beaten back at the meeting the night before, and did not stop the rally either. About 75 of our Folk attended the rally, a number of people we kept back at the property of the after event in case it needed to be defended against the anti's. The rally went off without issue's, aside from the rain, and a couple anarchists who smashed windows downtown for no reason other than to break things and wreck an American City.
The after Party concluded the two day event on private land where we had giant tents set up for all who participated to enjoy the bbq, live music, and a swastika lighting at the end of the evening.
I would like to personally thank and commend Jason Hiecke and Family for their countless hours of effort, planning, and work that goes into an event such as this. Also thank you to Keelan and Guilt Free Radio, Charles and the troops for being our frontline fighters, Duke and the Security Squad, everyone involved with NSM Media running our cameras, sound equipment, pa system, and websites. Street fighting is what we do

I was sitting next to Sgt. Mike after going after my second helping of meatballs from the wonderful array of food that had been prepared at the banquet. Sgt. Mike, a big man, was already finished eating after just one trip and was daring me to go for a third.
“You're off your diet this weekend...don't be a wimp,” he edged me closer to going back 3 times for food.
I laughed and thought about the fact that I'd nearly made myself sick already. The days of travel had left me a little under-nourished. Drowsiness was actually starting to set in.
Just then Captain Wilson appeared in the doorway, “the reds...the antis are here! Let's roll!”
I jumped up along with everyone around me and headed for the exit. “@#$% MOVE!” I shouted as I pushed through the crowd who were congesting the hall. Outside one could see about 30 or so communists, all masked, moving across the street.
Running out, I cursed at them and got close to their line yelling for their toughest to come out and fight me. Challenging people to one on one combat before the main battle begins is an old European tradition. One threw something and a scared looking small framed man rushed out and sprayed mace, which due to his cowardly half-approach, fell far short of me, the target.
Looking around, you could see these were all white people. The Black Panthers and Jewish groups love it when white boys fight their own battles. For more information, google “World War 2.” I spotted a few of the rich kids trying to dig projectiles out of a nearby garbage bin. I started moving towards them, also hoping to break the jaw of the mace-armed slip of a man who had moved in that direction as well.
That is when from the corner of my eye I saw the rest of the fight erupt, right in front of a passing car. It was on! I ran full out towards a bubbling fat man and nailed him solid in the temple. Commander Schoep came in right beside me and slammed a folding chair down on either him or someone nearby—I'm unsure but I heard it hit and heard one of them cry out. I stole a quick glance to my right to see the Commander catch a full blast of pepper spray in the face. By this time the others (names withheld) had sent the antis running back towards the end of the street. I took off after them down the sidewalk with our Florida state leader right behind me---lucky for me!
I was the next person to get hit with pepper spray and immediately blinded after another brief melee. Never had I neglected to wear goggles to every rally I have ever attended. One of the antis jumped on my back, trying to take me down. Our Florida unit leader grabbed the communist and body slammed him. I wish I could have seen it but there was no way I could get my eyes open. I felt something hit my face and knew it was time to get my vision back somehow. I tried holding one eye open but it was so blurry that I couldn't make anything out. Luckily Sgt. Mike grabbed me by the arm and led me back towards the church. As the adrenaline wore down, I felt a sharp pain in my right hand. In the confusion, a typical mistake had been made and I'd landed a punch onto the top of someone's head instead of the temple or the jaw as intended. This proved to be my only real injury. My fingers could barely move and I hoped I could get my vision back then a club in my hands, even if it was my left.
Someone shouted to get me to the bathroom. Someone else called back that the Commander was in the only bathroom, also trying to regain his sight. When he heard I was outside wounded and unable to see, he quickly moved outside and ordered the people around me to get me cleaned up. He was in worse shape than me being that the pepper spray was under his contacts, an extremely painful injury. If I had known he was moving aside and giving up the sink, I would not let anyone offer me treatment. As if seeing him fighting out in front of his troops wasn't enough, he was insisting on us being seen to first! Leaders don't have to step aside. A man with burning contacts shouldn't have to step aside. Oddly, him doing so was predictable if you have known him for very long.
Milk and water applied to my eyes finally allowed me to blink and begin to take in what all was going on around me. Nobody was out of commission and though a few had been struck with objects after being outnumbered, everyone was once again in fighting shape. Shouts of victory and triumph filled the hall! We'd beaten back the enemy at very little cost. It was well worth the honor gained.
Cops were starting to arrive on the scene. Apparently blacks living across the street had called them after the battle had turned in our favor. It was good to see the blacks the communist so adore at least offering them that minimal amount of assistance. The very first thing on my mind next was getting out of the neighborhood and away from the cops, being that I was one of the combatants. The police are never on our side regardless of what happened. Someone asked if I needed to go to the hospital and it sounded like a good idea from a legal stand point. The more of us to go to the hospital, the better it would look when the rich kids with daddy's lawyers started filing assault charges. I was placed in the ambulance by a pair of volunteer paramedics. These ladies were golden! I found a new NSM member from Washington state was already inside. Without being told, he had grabbed a chair and rushed into the battle and continued fighting even after being hit twice in the head with a pipe wrench. We joked around and kept the EMT's laughing the whole way to the ER.
After getting some minor patchwork done, the police came to question us about a “white van.” We played dumb which was easy in this case since we didn't know about anything about what they were talking about anyway. I speculated when the cops had gone that maybe the communists had attacked a van and been shot. One can dream.
All of the hospital staff were very friendly until we left about 20 minutes later. A blonde nurse came out to show off her loyalty to the Marxist system by asking us to leave. We'd called a cab and informed her that they were stuck with us until it showed up. Let's just hope that comment card gets lost in the mail.
We finally left and headed back to the hotel where a hero's welcome was waiting for us. The meeting had continued and everyone but us had made it back on time. A night of good times awaited us!
What the communists accomplished was this: they lit a fire under the white nationalist movement in general, most notably the NSM. With as many armed people as the antis had brought, they should have put everyone one on the ground and out cold. They didn't do this once and were chased away. However, this is nothing a good lying press release can't cure. Running away or using anti-rape weapons in a fight hold no significance with an honor-less bunch of spoiled gang of some rich man's grown brats. Standing your ground and fight off a larger force means a great deal to us. Though it hurts to type with with a cracked hand, it all has to be said. Attacks like these strengthen our resolve. It flushes out hobbyist, social leaches and hangers-on. It reminds us that this is a warrior's game that for the sake of our people, can't be lost.
In the end, I hope for many more attacks like these. Our strong won't quit. Our brave won't run. The ones that weren't there to fight alongside us will be sure to be at the next meeting or get together. This puts people back into the gym or get them up and running before their workday starts. This is the reason you cut your hair short or trim your toenails. This is what causes you to stay up late at night reading about the battles of men like yourself until you wake up the next morning with the book still in your hands. This is what nature intended for us to do just as nature had intended for us all to be national socialist.

Police 'hid' abuse of 60 girls by Asian takeaway workers linked to murder of 14-year-old

At least 60 schoolgirls were groomed for sex by workers at seedy takeaways linked to the murder of a 14-year-old girl.
Children as young as 11 were targeted by mainly Asian staff at fast food outlets in Blackpool. They were offered food, alcohol and cigarettes in return for sexual favours.
An unpublicised police report produced after 14-year-old Charlene Downes vanished in 2003 found the girls, most if not all white, had been victims of the ‘honey pot’ premises. There were claims last night that the report was suppressed for reasons of political correctness.

Two Middle Eastern restaurant owners were acquitted over Charlene’s murder in 2007 and the crime remains unsolved.
The pair still run a kebab shop in Blackpool which was also linked to Paige, and she too was identified as a victim of sexual exploitation. Last year police reported that the takeaway was attracting young girls who were being supplied with alcohol and cocaine.

The girls, often from vulnerable homes or in the care system, were befriended by men who showered them with gifts and affection before using them for sex.
Former Home Secretary Jack Straw has said the girls were seen as ‘easy meat’, while David Cameron called on police to follow criminal acts ‘without fear or favour’ wherever the evidence leads.
The Home Office commissioned a nationwide investigation into the problem, which has long been considered taboo by police officers fearful of being branded racist.
But the force denied this, saying the report had been available online since 2007 but had never been intended for publication.
Senior officers insisted an intensive programme to break the cycle of exploitation had been a success and that in the last six months 50 of 54 grooming suspects were white.
Shocking claims made in court over Charlene’s murder revealed fears that her body had been put through a mincing machine, with takeaway staff said to have joked that her remains had ‘gone into the kebabs’.
A jury failed to reach a verdict on charges that Jordanian immigrant Iyad Albattikhi had murdered her while his Iranian landlord Mohammed Reveshi had disposed of her body.
A retrial collapsed in 2008 amid failings in the police investigation and the men were paid almost £250,000 each in compensation.
The kebab shop run by Mr Albattikhi and Mr Reveshi has changed its name from Funny Boyz to Mr Beanz. It was refused a hot food licence last year amid fears about ‘sexual activity’ linked to the premises, but the pair blame a ‘police vendetta’ and have appealed.
Following Charlene’s disappearance in 2003, police found more than 60 girls were being groomed for sex by non-white men centred around 11 Blackpool takeaways.
They were mainly aged between 13 and 15, but some were as young as 11. Yesterday former Detective Superintendent Mick Gradwell warned that research into the problem was being hampered by ‘political correctness and concerns about upsetting community cohesion’.
But Lancashire police denied a cover-up. Assistant Chief Constable Andy Rhodes said his officers were making significant progress in tackling child sex exploitation across Lancashire, regardless of the background of the culprits.
He added: ‘We recognise that in some areas the number of Asian offenders is disproportionate to the population and far from ignoring this, have been tackling the issue head on by working with the local communities, giving presentations to community forums and visiting mosques to raise awareness.’
It was reported yesterday that while most British sex offenders are lone white men, details of court cases in 13 towns showed that out of 56 men convicted of multiple offences of grooming girls for sex, 50 were Muslim, mostly of Pakistani heritage.

NAZI commander Rudolf Hess parachuted into a Scottish field 70 years ago.
Hitler's deputy was arrested by pitchfork wielding ploughman David McLean on Floor's Farm near Eaglesham, south of Glasgow, in what was to become one of the strangest episodes of World War II.
Ever since, mystery has surrounded the top Nazi's dramatic arrival.
Conspiracy theories have raged about exactly what Hess was doing in Scotland at the height of the war and why the authorities are as stubbornly tight-lipped over the matter now as they were then.
Official records of the incident are currently under seal until 2017 after the official secrecy of the event was extended from 30 to 75 years.
Many people believe he was on a peace mission, possibly having been sickened by the atrocities of war.
But the lack of hard facts over why Hess flew to Scotland has given rise to some wild theories, including one claiming it wasn't even him in the plane.
Hess's wife Isle Hess certainly seemed to believe her husband was on a peace mission.
She quoted him in her book, Rudolf Hess: Prisoner Of Peace, as having said of his decision to fly to Scotland: "I do not think I could have arrived at my final choice unless I had continually kept before my eyes the vision of an endless line of children's coffins with weeping mothers behind them, both English and German, and another line of coffins of mothers with mourning children."
It also seems that, like many top Nazis, Hess believed Germany and Britain were natural allies who would be fighting together to defeat the Russians if it weren't for Prime Minister Winston Churchill.
Perhaps it is no coincidence then that Hitler invaded Russia just six weeks after the Hess landing, making his arrival incredibly timely.
It appears the Nazi chief also believed the Duke of Hamilton, whose home in Dungavel it is thought Hess was aiming for, blamed Churchill for the war and was keen to broker peace.
Debate rages over whether the two powerful men met in Berlin in 1936 when they both attended an Olympic Games dinner, and if they had any contact afterwards.
Perhaps more importantly, though, Hess also appeared to think the Duke was a confidant of King George VI.
But there is also evidence, as cited in Rudolf Hess: The British Illusion of Peace, to suggest Hess was lured to Britain in an elaborate MI6 sting.
What knowledge the Fuhrer had of his deputy's trip, if any at all, is a matter for speculation.
Little is known for sure except that at 6pm on May 10, 1941, Hess took off from Augsburg Airfield in Bavaria in a Messerschmitt Bf110.
Hitler issued orders to have him stopped but squadron leaders were told to only scramble one or two fighters.
After a flight of almost 1000 miles, at around 11pm, Hess parachuted out over Eaglesham to be found with a broken ankle by ploughman David McLean.
His plane crash landed nearby, and the tail section and one engine can be seen in the Imperial War Museum in London, while the other engine is in the Museum Of Flight in East Fortune, East Lothian.
"As I ran out to the back of the farm, I heard a crash, and saw the plane burst into flames in a field about 200 yards away.
"I was amazed and a bit frightened when I saw a parachute dropping slowly earthwards through the gathering darkness.
"Peering upwards I could see a man swinging from the harness."
Margaret Baird, the wife of farmer Basil Baird who owned Floor's Farm, wrote about the extraordinary night in a letter to her sister.
In it she says: "I was awoken by the drone of the plane and heard two thuds like gunfire far away... they said they had a German airman, Davy said they had better take him down to the house for a cup of tea. The plane was burning brightly in the Bonnyton field.
"Meanwhile a party of home guards arrived in a motor and were thrilled to hear from Grandpa and Basil that a Jerry was in the cottage.
"We were standing at the side of our garden when he came round, limping pretty badly with about half a dozen home guards with fixed bayonets close to his back."
Margaret also goes on to say the first thing Hess spoke about was Dungavel.
Other sources claim he gave his name as Captain Alfred Horn and when taken to McLean's farmhouse accepted just a glass of water from McLean's mother.
It was only when the press arrived the next day, along with what Margaret describes as hundreds of cars and people with photos of Hess, that the villagers realised the true identity of the captured airman.
Meanwhile, the deputy fuhrer was taken to a hall in nearby Busby before being moved to Maryhill Barracks in Glasgow.
He was quickly moved to the Tower of London where he became the last political prisoner to be held there before being moved to Mytchett House near Aldershot.
And any hopes that Hess's arrival heralded peace were soon squashed when they heard Hess's terms.
Among his proposals was returning all the western European lands conquered by Germany to their own national governments but with German police.
Hess said that Germany would pay for the rebuilding of these countries.
To ensure peace, though, Britain would have to support the fuhrer's war against Russia.
Some believe the wily PM pretended to negotiate with Hess in order to ensure Hitler's invasion of Russia, knowing that this would end the Blitz and bring the Americans into the war.
Hess was later tried at Nuremberg for war crimes along with many other Nazi high commanders.
In 1946, he was found guilty of crimes against peace and conspiracy with other German leaders to commit those crimes.
He was given a life sentence which only added to the speculation as many believe Hess's crimes did not warrant such a punishment.
Hess spent the rest of his life in Spandau Prison in West Berlin where, as the last remaining inmate, he apparently committed suicide in 1987 at the age of 93, although his death too has since become a subject for debate.
It has even been suggested that the Hess in Spandau was a doppelganger, which possibly explains why he had such limited contact with his family.
Some researchers even believe he was kept locked up under such harsh restrictions because if allowed he would reveal to the world what really happened after he landed in Scotland, possibly even that he had warned the Allies of the coming Holocaust only to be ignored.
Chances are the facts will never be fully known. All that can truly said is that the night of May 10 1941 was a historic and important one for Hess, the Allies and Eaglesham.
*To mark the 70th anniversary of the part played by Eaglesham in one of the strangest events of World War II, there will be an RAF display at this year's Eaglesham Fair on May 21.

Councillors have voted overwhelmingly for John Cave to take over as civic leader of Padiham, Lancashire.
But critics have warned the appointment reflects poorly on the town and argued that he cannot serve the whole community without 'rejecting his party's philosophy.'
Councillor Cave has previously claimed that party politics were behind those who opposed his selection.
He will become Deputy Mayor in the next civic year and take the chains of office 12 months later.
He says he is proud to serve the town, which is situated about three miles from Burnley and has a population of around 9,000.
He said: 'It is a vote of confidence. This is my home town and I was born here. It is all about Padiham and Padiham is not about politics.
'It is my home and my aim is to make it a lot better place to live. I will be really proud to be mayor.'
'The system was arranged so everyone could have a chance. One or two opposed the idea and interpreted the rules in a different way. If all the councillors had voted 'no', I would have said they didn't want me on the council but the majority are happy with the decision.
'It is a non-political council and my politics have not encroached on what happens in Padiham. It has been easier than I expected to remain non-political in the past 12 months.'
But Bishop of Burnley John Goddard said he was not happy with the decision.
He said: 'I always see the role of the mayor and deputy mayor as the chief citizen of the community, and they have a responsibility to uphold and defend the rights of all British citizens of the town, regardless of race, colour or status
'Given that,I look forward to the deputy mayor showing that the BNP are wrong in their racist policies
'It will be interesting to see if he acts in the best traditions of a mayor in the community, and I pray he does, as he will have to reject the philosophy of the BNP.
'If he retains the BNP political philosophy then how can he expect to serve and represent the whole of the community?'
The role means Councillor Cave, who is married to BNP Lancashire County Councillor Sharon Wilkinson and has been a councillor for just 12 months, will take over the chains from current mayor Bob Clark in a year.
Councillor Shah Hussain, who represents Daneshouse and Stoneyholme on Burnley Council, said: 'I have concerns with what the BNP stands for and its policies. It is a party that is divisive to the community.'

Six months ago, the people of France were informed today was the day Muslim women across the country would be banned from wearing burqas (dress covering the entire face) and niqabs (dress covering everything besides the eyes) in public.
The only place (outside of their home) where Muslim women who choose to wear a burqa or niqab can do so is in privately-owned vehicles. The hijab, which covers the hair and neck but not the face and the chador, which covers the body but not the face, are not effected by this particular law and are still deemed “acceptable.”
According to news reports, police have been given instructions not to forcibly remove anyone’s veil in public. Instead they must issue a warning and ask them to remove the garment and identify themselves. If they do not cooperate, they’re escorted to the nearest police station and possibly given a fine.
The punishment for wearing the veiled outfits in public is either a fine of 150 euros or the person breaking the law can be asked to carry out public service duty as an alternative. Perhaps most interesting is if a person “forces” a woman to wear a burqa or niqab in public, he can be fined up to 60,000 euros (more than US$100,000) and given a year-long prison sentence.
